you cant really form any opinion on that trailer other than "this is going to look amazing". i am confident it will be funny, hopes are high that it is actually good because i feel like theres SO much you can do with the mario-verse.
Everything looks and sounds good except Pratt's voice acting. Why was he struggling to introduce the trailer lol "I spent so much time.... STOMPING.... koopas" then cut to Jack Black who is such a pro at these types of things
Legitimately it would be easy and make sense to make a Mario movie where he doesn’t talk outside of his “wa-hoo’s” etc. Let all the other characters talk or cast somebody other than “most boring man on the planet, bag of skimmilk who thinks he’s actually a US soldier at this point” Chris Pratt
Now that we have a taste of Pratt’s Mario, we need the next trailer to give us the thing we should actually care about. Donkey Kong doing the Rogen laugh
The animation in this is gorgeous. Loved the penguins. The possibilities in this world seem endless, especially if it leads to Luigi’s Mansion.
Surprised there is still no word on Yoshi. Maybe they’re saving him for the sequel with Danny DeVito as Wario
Really like that gave the scenes space in this trailer! And the lack of score into the title was pretty “epic” feeling animation might be one of the best looking things Illumination studios has done, wow
