Now that the movie is out, tags aren’t required. If someone wants to use them, that’s cool, but they aren’t required.
The entire movie is a cliche. I came up with a perfectly workable explanation in two minutes. When you introduce a concept at the beginning of the film, you resolve it by the end. The former boss that laughed at the brothers comes to respect them. Cranky Kong sees his son is more valuable than he thought he was. The unknown powers of the star are finally revealed. Her origin is not some big cliffhanger; it is literally just dropped and not brought up again.
Yeah, the peach origin story is NOT a problem I had with the movie. Way more focused on the awkward pacing, strange soundtrack and Cranky's voice tbh.
If they go live action for the Zelda films then I’d use adult Link and if they want the films to be animated then use a child link (toon link)
I want it to be like Hyrule Warriors where all the links travel through all the other versions of Hyrule
I think the title of more heart and sincerity in that one masterpiece than every American movie released in 2022 combined goes to Top Gun: Maverick. I know I may be in the minority with Avatar, lol. I don't mean to hijack the Mario thread, I posted a lot of my thoughts on the Way of Water in that thread.
My only question about Peach is does she have a Toad do her eyebrows and makeup And why did Bowser have the same vibe as Snake from the Simpsons
just wait until people see link going to go fight ganondorf and then you hear see you again playing as he prepares and it shows Zelda by the window waiting for him
I think her face is just like that naturally. It's part of her origin story. She comes from a world where people just look like they have makeup on.
I wouldn’t want illumination to make a Zelda movie either unless it was something in the vein of Wind Waker. So hypothetically, if this leads to a smash bros film. Which characters should Nintendo use? They obviously will have to limit the characters. They currently have Mario, Luigi, Peach, Yoshi, Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Outside of illumination they could potentially use Pikachu and Sonic from other studios. I think they would be safe to get Link, Zelda and Ganondorf (Zelda films) Samus (Metroid film) Kirby and Dedede (Kirby film) Fox and Falco (Star Fox film) I think that’s all they really need imo.
Nintendo would very likely stick to their own franchises. Getting guest characters in a game is bad enough, but then getting them for a film would be a logistical nightmare.
Also, I'm not sure Nintendo would have any problem using Pikachu, would they? They'd also definitely have characters be introduced in the film. Probably Captain Falcon and Ness.
Legendary currently owns the rights of live action Pokémon I think. I’m not entirely sure but it might be another situation where Nintendo owns a character but not the cinematic rights. Similar to Marvel and Spider-Man
I was implying if they use the Pikachu from detective Pikachu. Idk if that one is owned by legendary or not.
Didn't Nintendo recently announce their own animation studio, presumably so they could adapt their own franchises that might not be fit with studios like Illumination in-house?
I admit I don't know, but I don't see why it would be. Legendary didn't create the detective character, it was based off of a 3DS game. Unless you mean specifically that character voiced by Ryan Reynolds, in which case I dunno, maybe there might be more to it? I feel like that's overthinking it though. Nintendo would just need a Pikachu, it doesn't need to be that particular one.
Nintendo Pictures. I don't know if that's the intended purpose, but I could certainly see this being like Marvel where they start with licensing to studios and then eventually make their own products.
