Lock Chris Meledandri up. The movie goes up like a full star if this gets fixed. #releasetheneedledropfreecut
I love how everyone especially Jack black is just leaning into this movie and having a great time Jack Black - Peaches (Directed by Cole Bennett) …:
This. Clearly they were leaving some stuff for a sequel. And on that note... I think the reveal isn't his appearance so much as the fact as one is now Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, no?
With the sequel featuring Yoshi it should take place in delfino plaza (sunshine). Then have the third film take place in space and introduce Rosalina (Galaxy).
But we already saw Yoshies in the movie. It’s not really a reveal. Now, if there had been no other Yoshies in the movie, it would make more sense.
Or I misread it? The mushroom kingdom got sucked into New York, didn’t it? Or did I somehow not understand what happened at the end?
https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/m...s-movie-box-office-record-opening-1235369721/ $204 million US opening, $377 million worldwide and that's without markets like Japan where it won't open for a couple weeks. Almost mode the entire box office for the new antman in 5 days lol.
No, they are different things. Her origin ties into what makes her so powerful. It isn't hard to write. You can take the flashback of Luigi being defended by Mario, and then you can run it again except pan out to reveal that Peach was also there and maybe even standing up to bigger bullies. Maybe you find out humans always lived in that dimension until Bowser turned their land into a kingdom and she was jettisoned away like Moses or Superman.
With a new Zelda game coming out I am really surprised they didn't shoehorn Hyrule in as one of the kingdoms. Just have them run across Link fighting a monster in the background during that one montage.
I don’t know why, but my brain says Hyrule is separate from the Mario World. Even though it’s all Nintendo, so it’s only separate as much as they want it to be or not. But I feel like it would be weird to just have Hyrule be just another of the islands. Perhaps down another pipe?
I forgot how weak kids' bladders were. They were up and down to the bathroom the whole movie. I always sit in the handicapped seats right below the rising stairs and I can usually stretch my legs out but they kept coming and going.
They're complete separate. They only come together in the party games like Smash, Kart, and as weird connections like in Link's Awakening with Goombas, Chain chomps, etc. But Link's Awakening is a dream island so it doesn't really matter.
I mean, yes, I know. But in the NCU (I’m just assuming that’s what we’re all gonna call this), they could have done it. They can do what they want. Though I would find it odd. And I guess the question that needs answered is that which Link do they use? Adult Ocarina? Breath of the Wild? Twilight Princess? I think keep it to the side for the time being was a wise choice.
The entire Mushroom Kingdom did not get sucked into Brooklyn, only anything in the surrounding area. Mario and Luigi even move into the Mushroom Kingdom at the end and can warp to and fro, but they're not in the same place. First, if we're talking about bad writing, that first idea you offer of Peach "always being there" is ridiculously forced and cliché. I personally would hate that. Also, Peach's origin in this movie is not the point and exploring it kind of takes away from what the movie is about. It makes more sense to introduce the idea here and have it be part of a future movie that might be more centered on Peach.
I didn't think not sharing peach's origin story was bad writing. I think it was interesting because it's something I've never thought about and it will be fun to explore in a future movie (if done well). I just thought the ending was weird. Also are we just not doing spoiler tags?
I hope they use every Link as a reference to Four Swords. And then all the Links have to work together.
