Cena was great, incredible comedic timing

 

I think this is my new favorite film of the year? I had an absolute blast with this in theaters. Gunn just gives me what I want out of comic book movies

 

I mean - can you believe it’s a giant fucking star fish? Hahah we’ve come so far

 

Yep. LOVED her. Really the heart & soul of the movie for me.

Just wrapped this up. Definitely a James Gunn movie haha. It was solid but it doesn’t look like I enjoyed this as much as others here. I could’ve done without probably a good 1/2 hour in this. Some good bits but I felt like a lot of jokes were hit on just a bit much. Also, I know it’s a trademark but damn with the needle drops.

 

Just finished watching this. I thought it was good. Nothing great, but it was a good film when it comes to the other DC catalog. King Shark and Ratcatcher 2 were my favorite characters, surprisingly.

 

This was fun. Culture Abuse song at the end is a bummer

 

Solid, fun movie. My wife was not interested, so this was a solo watch. She will probably be intrigued once I confirm that it is very much in the ballpark of a Guardians-ish movie, which she loves.

Overall I definitely enjoyed it, but I agree it could’ve been a tad shorter, there were some parts that dragged.

also, sucks they killed off Boomerang so early. I always like the idea that he just kind accidentally trips over the finish line and survives being on the Squad.

 

Came home from The Green Knight last night and watched this. Nice change of pace to say the least. Wasn't guardians 1 level good from Gunn but great nonetheless.

The murderfest at the camp between Peacemaker and Bloodsport was the highlight for me, especially after they get to the tent, their reaction to finding out who they'd just killed had me dying.

 

This was great. I know there's a Peacemaker spinoff coming, but I really want more Ratcatcher. She stole the show for me

 

Given the good buzz this is getting and how it ended, I'd be shocked if we don't get a proper sequel.

 

James Gunn said he’s a freelance director and not tied to one studio, so he very well could come back, especially if Guardians 3 closes the book on them.

 

This was so much fun. Cena is unreal in this role. Excited to see his series.

 

Long, but good. Stoked for the tv show.

 

Have Gunn use Bizarro.

 

The humor in this fell almost totally flat for me. A lot of really weak jokes, but the action and over the top violence kept it fun. enjoyed it overall.

Would 100% rather watch a Polka-dot Man series than a Peacekeeper series.

 

I thought Cena stunk in this tbh. King Shark and Ratcatcher 2 were the best parts. Polka-dot Man had a solid line or two

 

Counterpoint: Cena ruled and I was glad he was able to show all the personality he lacked in F9.
