The packaging for the substance was superb. Very slick product design.

 

I’ve never felt so nauseous leaving the theater. Loved this.

 

Saw it on Tuesday and loved it. Didn’t really make me queasy or anything. Always down for some body horror.

 

Why was there a child at that New Year’s Eve show

 

For me the audio was almost more unnerving than the visuals…..ughghghgh

 

why were there topless dancers at a televised show

this was fantastic. can't believe they yassified The Giving Tree and then made her explode in front of a live studio audience.

 

Is the whole movie like the first fifteen minutes?

 

i don't think this is one of those movies that needs any additional world-building, but it's fun to speculate on some of those elements. one of the first things that popped into my head when Elisabeth went to pick up her first kit was that of all the lockers in the facility, only two had numbers on them - hers and the doctor - implying they're potentially the only two in the LA area actively using The Substance. i don't think the story should be expanded upon in any way (i.e. sequels), but it makes me wonder how many others would've previously used it. or is she some sort of guinea pig if that's the only known location (given the 909 area code printed on the back of the flash drive).

 

I live in the 909 so now I have to see this
