Second episode is one of the best episodes of television I've ever seen. Legit poetry in motion throughout.
Was totally burnt out on “Woe is me” Hollywood backstage stories after “The Bubble” and that awful HBO show. This totally won me over. Second episode is so good.
The scene where they’re at Catherine O’hara’s house and she’s complaining about being fired while it’s the biggest most beautiful mansion in the world sold it for me. At least they’re SOMEWHAT self aware
idk maybe I just wasn't in the right headspace but I didn't super fuck with the 2nd episode :( I just felt it was stressful for no apparent reason with very little to no comedic relief.
I did think Seth’s character was being slightly overly dumb in not being aware enough at how much of an ass he was being on the set, haha
Rogen talking about how they wanted to make a heavy cinematic type show because it is not typical for how the stuff he did coming up and learning was not like that was really interesting for me to hear. He was worried that the comedy wouldn't hit because of how much an emphasis they had on it but was really happy when they were able to pull it off. Talked about how the Apatow stuff was completely in the other direction because of how improvised much of the scenes among other things.
