So my team at work is having a three-day offsite in Colorado in August. We travel from Denver to the ranch hotel on Tuesday morning but we have the night to ourselves on Monday. That Monday night is...The Strokes' first-ever show at Red Rocks. Scored two tickets yesterday and I am so stoked. Will be my second Red Rocks show.
Amazing. They are so great live, truly. Almost weirdly great if that makes sense. They’re borderline mechanical, but that’s not a criticism. A well oiled machine.
Totally! Most specifically when they feel like bringing it, so hopefully Julian is in the mood. Been a fan since Is This It? was released but to my memory, I think this is what I've seen: -Angles Tour at MSG -Capitol Theatre 2016 -Governor's Ball 2016 -Barclays 2022 NYE Reschedule -Chili Peppers Opener at MetLife So stoked though. Red Rocks is magical.
Nice. I saw them open Pearl Jam 20 at Alpine Valley. Reptilia You Only Live Once Hard to Explain Is This It? You’re So Right New York City Cops Under Control Juice Box Last Nite Take It or Leave It
Red Rocks was great last night. Really beautiful 70-degree and clear night with a ton of stars. Short-ish set but Modern Girls & Old Fashion Men with Weyes Blood was cool and the volume increase during Ize of the World was fun. One thing I gotta call out is damn...New York Strokes fans just go so much harder. The crowd was pretty docile.

This song sounds so much like later-era Strokes that I had to walk across the room to grab my phone and make sure it wasnt
