Watched some videos and while he’s definitely not hitting the beats - he’s doing fine from what I saw? Idk Also, yeah I’ve seen Strokes 4 times now (seeing them next month at the This Ain’t No Picnic festival!) and he had to have been at least somewhat drunk at two of them lmao

That most recent interview with Matt Skiba talking about Comedown Machine got me revisiting it. It’s so good. I forgot how amazing it is. Took me a long time to appreciate it.
I like pretty much every Strokes album, they all have their merits. First Impressions is probably my least favorite, it’s a little shambolic and redundant at the same time.
I can understand that. I just have weird connection with it. It’s also the album that made me think “wow, these guys really do have something special and I wonder what they can do with it”.
