Lackluster single? It's been getting a lot of airplay on chcurry182 fm.

Future Present Past EP is some of their best stuff in their post hiatus era IMO with Oblivius being one of my favorite tracks they’ve done in the last 15 years so I was super hyped to see them close out with it and even more hyped to see them shine a big spotlight on the CIA’s past and the genocide happening at a festival as pro-capitalist as Coachella. This is what using your platform should look like.

Also big ol’ fuck off to the person in the thread thinking this was just virtue signaling. What they did was powerful and not a marketing gimmick.

Interested to see my Apple Replay in a few days as I’ve basically only listened to The Strokes all month. Finished Meet Me in the Bathroom by Lizzy Goodman at the end of March, then they announced a new album a week later, and it was the perfect combo to go on a big Strokes kick.

Found a cheap used copy of The World Is Going To Love This: Up From The Basement With The Strokes by Gordon Raphael a few days ago too, so it’s looking like a Strokes Spring for me.

Going Shopping really grew on me after not liking it initially. The melody kept getting stuck in my head. Expecting the same for this one.

I'm sorry. I know it's because I'm old, but I just can't keep from laughing when I hear his auto tuned vocals.

Everyone says this every single time and in 10 years we all go actually that record kind of rules.

I would honestly be surprised if this was anything but my least favorite album by them but that's honestly just because their catalogue is so fucking good that something has to be. Right now it's Angles and most of that album rocks

Would love to be pleasantly surprised. I do have a feeling his vocals are going to be like this on the whole album though

The first single grew on me immensely, even though I’d still prefer it without autotune.

The choice and execution of autotune in this one is bewildering to me. It’s going to be really disappointing if the whole album is like this.
