This is what I watched with my kids right after we finished our Malcolm binge. They loved it. There were a few dicey jokes overall but that mostly went over their heads.
I've always thought Everybody Hates Chris is really similar to Malcolm in the Middle. tbf I have watched way more of Chris than Malcolm
I have honestly always associated Malcolm most with Scrubs. Both were network single cam comedies at the same time when everyone else was still doing multicam. Both had irreverent humor with cutaway gags.
HBO Max used to have so many DC animated movies. Their selection has gone so far downhill. iirc they even got rid of Over the Garden Wall and Infinity Train. Fucking dumb
It's unscripted, right? Alana Haim has been posting about it but I'm not sure what the connection is there
I finished From by myself and Only Murders in the Building with my wife. Very different, but still great shows. I started Samurai Jack last night and went into it blind. I never watched it as a kid and I’ve heard good things. I’m digging the animation, music, and fight scenes. It’s different from shows on Cartoon Network.
I got my wife to watch The Office with me from the beginning. I’ve seen a lot of it, but not in order. Season one was rough and my wife wanted to stop. Season two is much better so far though
I binged Midnight Mass in like two days. Episode five was amazing character work. The last two episodes were chilling. Them all locked in the church getting slaughtered was an homage to Carrie, which makes sense since Flanagan is making the Carrie series. I never expected the old woman and the priest to be the doctor’s parents. Good twist! The monologue at the end was cringe though. Besides that, awesome series Out of what I’ve seen: Haunting of Hill House (top five, maybe three, Netflix show) Midnight Mass The Life of Chuck
