Now that I caught up on The Diplomat I think I am going to do Dying For Sex next. Also I realized I never actually finished The Penguin. I might do that too.
I'm not familiar with his other work, but I'm guessing no lol Although I think the supporting cast is funnier than him. If anything, I think Shane can get annoying at times
There was a brief moment where streaming while more limited was ad free and it will be one of those I remember when things that will be hard to explain to people. Paying like 8 dollars a month and getting movies and shows ad free.
i kinda think so yeah but I also get why, on principal, they can be annoyed anything with ads *during the movie* is a no go personally
7 bucks more approximately. Max basic tier with ads is $10 a month, Standard tier with no ads is $17 a month. Pretty steep price difference.
I'm just bitter than Max doesn't have their premium 4K package with any bundles. You can only get up to their ad free 1080p tier with bundles like Hulu
same here. at some point i'll probably add Max to my Disney+/Hulu bundle (once the password sharing thing eventually catches up to those who get it free with their mobile plan), but i'd love to have 4K and Atmos back. at the very least, i'd potentially pay maybe $3 bucks a month more for an option with 4K Max
Those bundles are definitely nice. I'm saving a ton of money on Disney+ by linking it up with my Hulu package. Both ad free
i'm glad they added the duo option, because i contemplated doing the original Disney bundle, but i don't give a shit about ESPN or sports in general, so i'm happy to save a few extra bucks not paying for something i wouldn't use
Trying to save a bit of money while still trying to access to as much as possible, so right my subs are: Netflix ad tier $8 Max ad tier $10 Hulu/Disney+ ad tier bundle $11 That equals out to around $30 a month. I have Amazon Prime annual sub for $139 that I mainly have just for free shipping and free Grubhub+, streaming is just a plus. I also have a Peacock premium annual sub that I plan on dropping next month.
hulu/disney - $20 hbo - $17 amazon prime - $15 paramount -$12 I think? oh and apple tv that's bundled with other apple stuff we use my mother in law's netflix but pretty rarely
i dropped Prime and Paramount+ a few weeks ago, and get Max free with my family's AT&T plan. i pay about $20 for D+/Hulu, $11 for Apple, $14 for Peacock, and about $20 for Netflix (but i'm probably gonna drop that in the coming months). my dad and i have also generally split the cost of an annual Criterion Channel subscription (minus $10 for being a charter subscriber).
I pretty rarely use paramount (but funnily enough I've watched 2 movies there the past couple weeks) but my wife uses it to watch Drag Race lol
it's definitely appealing in that regard. i mainly used it for a couple shows (Broad City, Evil) and Showtime's A24 exclusivity. neither of those shows are running anymore and i have physical/digital copies of both of them, and now Max has A24's titles, so it's become pretty useless (and up until i switched to a new streaming box, the app barely ever worked on my TV).
we canceled peacock, criterion and hulu live tv a month or two ago - paramount would definitely be on the chopping block. very very rarely use amazon video too
I keep getting offers for free or discounted Peacock through either Grubhub+ or Instacart+, but I can't do it with an active sub. So I am waiting for my annual sub to run out so I can do that. Peacock's Olympics coverage is worth the annual sub every other year imo.
