I am surprisingly enjoying The Beauty more than any Ryan Murphy show in awhile. Kinda feels like one long fucked up X-Files Monster of the Week episode.
Just finished watching The Wrecking Crew starring Jason Mamoa and Dave Bautista, a fun throwback buddy R rated action film!
Milo Ventimoglia to star in HBO Max's American Blue This is supposed to the next show in Max and Warner Brothers TV's "traditional 90's network TV drama style but with a prestige streaming sheen" blueprint in the vein of The Pitt. This time a cop show. I saw something where they compared it to NYPD Blue. Jeremy Carver (Supernatural) is showrunner. David Ayer (Fury, Suicide Squad) will direct the pilot "Written by Carver, American Blue centers on native son Brian “Milk” Milkovich (Ventimiglia) who returns to his hometown of Joliet, Illinois, to rescue a beleaguered police force while seeking redemption of his own."
People also love and celebrate doctors, no one gives a shit about cops. I’ll watch it bc I like Milo and maybe it’ll be good but it does seem like a miscalculation
I haven't read that yet but I've been picking up the new issues from Ignition Press, it's okay so far
The series ended at issue 21. There are new issues now starting back at number 1, but it’s a relaunch. I haven’t read them yet, so idk if it’s a reimagining or just reprints.
The other "The Pitt blueprint" show Max and WBTV has in the pipeline is a family drama from Greg Berlanti (Dawson's Creek, Arrowverse) that they compared to Berlanti's earlier show Brothers & Sisters, but also Six Feet Under and This is Us.
