Need to finally watch Derry Girls

 

we've started Bridgerton and are on season 2 now. it's not "good" but i don't actively dislike it

 

actually though season 2 episode 1 has a string version of Stay Away by Nirvana over a montage and it is, admittedly, kinda sick

So glad that show received the acclaim and attention it rightly deserved.

 

enjoyed the set up. Bernthal doing Bernthal things. It gets very soap opera-y in the middle though.

 

Having seen the promos for FX’s “The Beauty,” a Ryan Murphy production with Ashton Kutcher and Meghan Trainor sounds like the opposite of anything and everything good.

 

you don't want to see The Substance without all the satire

 

Thinking back on it I don't think I have truly enjoyed a Ryan Murphy production since the Bette Davis/Joan Collins season of Feud back in 2017.

 

Murphy is a hack who needs to be barred from ever making anything again. the only exception i'll make is Pose. that and Grotesquerie are the only things of his i've seen in any capacity, and the latter was a big swing and a miss. can't bring myself to watch anything else, but everything i've heard about his other projects has me wildly uninterested.

 

I liked ACS: OJ and that one season of Feud and that's basically it.

Haven't liked anything from Ryan Murphy since AHS Roanoke

 

all 3 Crime Story seasons are good, Apocalypse was the last AHS season that was watchable, and the last season of American Horror Stories was actually pretty good, but I don't think he really had anything to do with it and no one watched it

 

Eh I thought apocalypse was terrible. Preferred 1984 and Red Tide, but they're all bad lol

 

Totally forgot there was a third season to Crime Story. The first two seasons I thought were pretty good. Loved the first season of AHS, but thought every season after that was really bad and stopped watching all together after the 3rd or 4th one.

 

Yeah I think the Clinton ACS one came out peak Covid and it kinda flew under the radar. Wasn't that great.
