I was gonna warn Pythons that any mention of Scrubs is like a sirencall for grumpy contrarian "um it's bad actually" posts, but i figured I'd let the chips fall where they may.
One of the best examples of a great sitcom that can find good moments to make you cry like a baby. I love Bill Lawrence and any fan of Ted Lasso and Shrinking should watch the show.
I liked it growing up. So it has a soft spot for me as a comfort show. But I can see where it didn't age great.
There are certainly plenty of moments that did not age great, I won't argue with that, but I don't think it ruins the the entire show as a whole. It's no worse than Friends or Seinfeld in that regard and anyone who says otherwise is arguing in bad faith.
I can also understand how that super saccharine sentimental "laugh then cry" type comedy that was big in the early 2000's (Futurama had it too) can not be many's tastes.
Having an opinion on a show isn’t being contrarian. It’s a show I don’t enjoy. Never said anyone else can’t enjoy it.
I do feel bad for the cast of Scrubs where the only work they can get now is somehow related to Scrubs. Mostly bad commercials.
My posts = my opinion. Didn’t think I had to start every post by saying in my opinion but for clarity IN MY OPINION scrubs is bad.
