Just curious what kind of stuff do you guys use your watchlists for? Like I just redid my Disney+/Hulu one and it's all background shows with hundreds of episodes I can just put on random episodes whenever. Jeopardy, 30 Rock, X-Files, Buffy, Scrubs, Malcolm, 20/20, Fox animated stuff, and some 90's Marvel animated stuff. I wouldn't put a heavily serialized type modern show like Shogun or Andor on my watchlist.
Holy fuck that latest episode of Mayor of Kingstown.. in a season of holy fuck moments.. this latest episode, especially near the end may have topped the lot and we still have the finale next week!!
Just watched Relay on Netflix, thought the trailers looked bad so I skipped it in theaters but it’s a pretty fun thriller
Just watched..... FUCK THAT ENDING. Legit thought it was a season ender....I'm guessing the Hispanic hitman or Frank's people. As I was watching all I could think was....."the only sure thing in this show is that there AREN'T sure things". There were so many tense moments I thought things were going to go sideways and mess up the plans everyone had laid out.
Here's my top 10 of the year The Pitt Mayor of Kingstown Mobland Task Last Samurai Standing Chief of War Andor Adolescence The Studio Severance Robin Hood Honorable mention: Spartacus.....fuck it's good to be back in this world, it took way too long imo. Yes Robin Hood lol. It's, not GOOD like prestige TV but i appreciate a grittier version that has Sean Bean being a mean Ned Stark. It's not gonna win any awards but audiences seem to like it. It being a MGM show, you know what to expect when they've done stuff like Domina and Billy the Kid. It may seem out of place but it actually had me looking forward to the next week's episode, it definitely held my attention.
I don't like ranking comedies and dramas together. For dramas: 1. Andor season 2 2. The Pitt season 1 3. Adolescence 4. Severance season 2 5. Dying For Sex (which was insanely underrated)
Ever since I rewatched the It movies I've seen The Chair Company and I Am Not Okay With This bc Sophia Lillis is in them. Imagine my pleasant surprise when I realize her characters in both shows are wuhluhwuh! She's not in The Chair Company a lot but she's really good in I'm Not Okay With This. Kinda sad it didn't get a second season, I hope she continues to be in cool things. (The D&D movie was actually really fun btw)
I think i hit my limit with Netflix. Went to my parents and found out they can no longer use my account, then I had an ad pop up on IG for Bert Kreischer’s new Netflix TV show. It’s time to cut the cord with them.
Watched One Battle After Another on HBO Max; fantastic movie. Also watched Jay Kelly on Netflix; not a fantastic movie.
i started A Good Girl's Guide for Murder and it has a pretty killer (hah) soundtrack so far. a song from Daughter, and some artists i should probably check out like Lykke Li, The Last Dinner Party, Wet Leg. i liked Emma Myers in Wednesday and Family Switch. her doing a British accent is... unexpected, but she's doing pretty good as the lead so far. it's more of a straight murder mystery YA drama tho so not really as up my alley like I Am Not Okay With This was. at least a second season is already confirmed.
