Is Point Break in this case a metaphor for Hollywood's never-ending quest to push any and all IP at their disposal?
I decided to see if it had been renewed yet and I see that back in August Jeremy Renner said S5 would be the end, but nothing OFFICIAL via Paramount or anything. Jeremy Renner's Mayor of Kingstown to end with season 5 - and he says they already have “a really cool end” in mind for us
Suprised that the Dave Bautista and Jason Momoa team up film is gonna released straight to Prime Video on the 28th January 2026 instead of getting an theatrical run!
Yeah that's true which is a shame because I do miss seeing rated R buddy action comedy type of films of back in the day but I will do still watch this anyways.. I think why say this because Mercy starring Chris Pratt which an Amazon/MGM film which is an original IP.. same as this, is getting a theatrical release and the only big hits he had was the guardians of the galaxy franchise and Jurassic World franchise and as far as I know and correct me if I am wrong, his original IP stuff hasn't done well.
yeah I mean I LOVE Dave, seems like a great dude and he can be a compelling performer but he's not much of a leading man I guess
loved him in BR2049 and Dune, and he was the only part of KATC i actually liked, but haven't seen him in much else i care about/where he was a major player
Dave had The Killer's Game released in cinemas back in September which he was the lead and that film bombed at the box office, budget was $30 million and made only $5.9 million worldwide!
I was so on board with Momoa when he was promoting Aquaman but the rumors of how he treated Heard during the filming of the sequel and all the bullshit with Depp left a bad taste in my mouth. Dwayne is annoying sometimes but at least he's not a straight up asshole. Bautista is the only one of the three prominent AAPI action stars I've had no issue with
Dwayne also tried to pull that shit starting rumors that he and Cavill would still be in the DCU which put Gunn in a very uncomfortable position in having to sit Cavill down and tell him that they would actually be recasting Superman
