Saw Geeta on MSNBC with AJ's mom talking about The Perfect Neighbor and she made an analogy about it that really struck me. "you have this very racially diverse neighborhood that is Incredibly tight and unified where everybody looks out for eachother, and it just took one racist outlier with a gun to ruin that. That's America"
That doc also struck a chord with me because I also grew up in a neighborhood just like that. Duplex apartments. Lower middle class. Florida. Very racially diverse. Neighborhood kids outside playing everyday in a big open field.
Yeah, anyone who has ever lived in a neighborhood like that growing up did the same thing. I remember my friends and I would find any random field we could play in. I’ve lived in lower-lower middle class neighborhoods/apartments like that many times in my life and kids were always playing in the lawn. If you don’t like it, tough shit. That’s apartment living and everyone is doing the best they can. The world doesn’t revolve around you.

Haven’t heard of him til now but reading the wiki’s for both his other films I wanna check him out. I love Dylan Gelula and I don’t see her in a whole lot
I thought Shithouse was one of the worst movies I've seen in a long time. Terrible characters, terrible plot or lack of plot, nothing interesting or engaging, boring as fuck. Haven't watched anything else from him
