People used to make that same joke about Jay Leno and NBC execs. There was a part in The Late Shift where Leno secretly listens in on an executive meeting about him and uses what they said about him against them as leverage so there is some semblance of truth to that one.
Got to this one last night. Man. Man. Since I knew something was coming, my head was a little bit on a swivel. With all the stuff about Benton’s mom in the leading up episodes, I feared for him. Worst case scenario I thought would be the little girl Carol wanting to adopt suddenly becoming sick and having it progress quickly due to her autoimmune disorder. But when Jodi came in and was so immediately likeable… and the episode title… it became clear what was gonna happen. That was a tough watch
It's basically like the opposite of the birth episode of The Pitt in terms of outcomes Now you got 2x7 Hell and High Water to look toward to. The ER episode that made George Clooney a star.
News doesn't have to be video either. But you put it on in the background while doing chores or other shit and occasionally take a glance. A lot of people now are passive watchers who just like something on in the background. So I kinda get it. I used to hear people tell me they do that all the time when I did the TV ratings.
Resubscribed to Shudder for the first time in almost a year to watch the newest V/H/S and the new Hell House LLC when it drops. What's worth watching atm?
Slight vent/rant: I vastly prefer Android TV to Apple TV in terms of OS, but man, if nobody makes another premium Android streamer next time I upgrade, I'm sticking with Apple TV. Shield TV was great. But it hasn't had a refresh in 6 years. Apple TV 4K works really well, I just have a lot of small annoyances with it, hate the remote, how unfriendly it is with Android phones, and that it doesn't have LDAC Bluetooth support. But otherwise, at this point, nobody else is competing in the premium market and it sucks! And I can't fucking stand Fire TV or Roku haha
