I just looked and the Hulu tab on Disney+ is terrible. It’s nothing like the actual Hulu interface and is some how worse. I only have Disney+ cause of the stupid ass Hulu bundle shit. Bring back actual cable at this point.
I'll have to see what the Hulu tab is like in Disney+. But the standalone Hulu app on my smart tv absolutely sucks. I constantly get kicked out and it never remembers where I left off in the show.
The Hulu app on my TV randomly drops from 4K to 480p on and off through a single episode, even with a 500mbps+ fiber connection
yeah, the Hulu app for our set top box (Google TV Streamer) crashes every time you try to switch seasons on long running shows. barely outputs in 4K, no HDR or surround audio support either. don't like the UI, but that's personal preference. at least with D+ combining the two makes the experience more useful since i use both services, and it works better overall than the Hulu app ever did. think genre specific stuff is further down in specific carousels, but it's stupid that Hulu content is only limited to those carousels. you can search by genre with the D+ search function, but it integrates D+ content in with the Hulu content, which i can see being annoying
Yes I am annoyed that there are now 15 different streaming services with 3 different tiered plans for each that seemingly switch monthly with what is bundled with what and what they’re called and which service has what movie/tv. Glad you enjoy it though Pen.
I just don't find a huge difference among how the apps operate and to me an interface is an interface. What is so different that has you so disgruntled?
Hulu app is broken on my PS5. Nothing loads when you are browsing. I’ve just been using the Disney app at this point.
my problem is can I watch Disney shows using Hulu and Roku and it's unclear, I want to see Lizzie McGuire
This probably isn't the most practical solution for everyone but I avoid using apps on my Roku TV entirely by plugging an HDMI cable to my laptop and using my Internet browser for streaming. Switching from one platform to another is as simple as opening multiple tabs
pen thinks disney + is perfect because it hosts his beloved marvel properties that have never misstepped once ever
Just finished Wednesday season one. Good season finale. It’s like a CW show, but still fun. The twist at the end of episode 7 was a good one.
Can someone give me a TLDR if you have Hulu but DON'T have Disney Plus? Do you just continue BAU in 2026 or have to do some upgrade/swap.
