Also been watching Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed per the unavoidable "Steven King said this is better than Widow's Bay" praise. I was worried in the first episode that it was going to be incredibly dumb, but it quickly stepped on the gas pretty hard into fun thriller territory and has only gotten better with each episode. It's not better than WB (nor even the same genre), but it's a good ride. And Jake Johnson is great.
Hell yeah, I just binged the entire series a couple months back and loved it. Good that it's getting a followup.
Just wanted to chime in after watching the latest episode, the show is so good. It works perfectly as a weekly release, it's the type that would be ruined somewhere else where they drop all episodes at once. The suspense and mystery hooks you and has you wondering all week until the next episode.....Apple is fucking killing it with their shows!
