Mother of God....no wonder this album is good. The production is so intricate and precise. Just watch this freaking breakdown of the production on Light Year. Especially from 24:30 on. Reminds me a lot of Jerry Finn's work on blink's Untitled album but on steroids.
I can't believe it's coming up to 5 years since Proper Dose came out. Absolutely wild, but I still love that album.
Somos - Temple of Plenty Turnover - Peripheral Vision The Wonder Years - The Great Generation The Story So Far - Proper Dose Proper Dose was the first/only TSSF album I’ve loved I’m usually not one to dig a lot of “newer” pop punk type bands. But those 4 albums were all next level for me and I still listen to them regularly. Some of my favorite albums of the last decade for sure.
WHAT. 5 years?! No way. That actually kinda blew my mind that it’s already been that long. Could’ve sworn it was 3 years but 5 years is wild. Proper Dose still means a lot to me and I’m so happy with that album.
The two week podcast featuring Kevin had him saying that new music was needed in order to do the blink tour. I believe they’re in the studio now or in the next month or so. I can’t remember those details. I guess kicking out the bassist and moving away from Sam is all the band needed to avoid disbanding.
Parker is still in a band with Harry so you guys enjoy this one! Excited to see the hoops you’ll jump through to excuse this like you did with Fireworks
I guess I’ll post this as just a disclaimer / refresher If you weren’t already aware Parker Cannon is in a band with Harry Corrigan who sexually assaulted a woman whilst in the band No Good News (here’s a good article (https://www.theprp.com/2015/05/07/n...amid-outcry-over-alleged-past-sexual-assault/) It’s up to you if you still want to support TSSF and Parker Cannon after knowing that he is happy to work with and be in a band with someone like that however I think it’s important to make sure everyone who cares about accountability and keeping women in our scene safe is aware.
Aside from the being in a band with Harry which is just…awful, the way this band treated Sam Pura turned me off of them completely.
Felt like I kept it very tame in that thread (and actually only stepped in when it was necessary) but whatever ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I was randomly listening to the Glamor Kills Tour EP, and TSSF's cover on there is... easily the best song they put out?
