It really is when you know how good of a drummer he is and how there’s like two songs in the set needing keys
Had the chance to sit down with Mike a looong time ago (like 2014) when he was supporting What's eating Gilbert on a tour with Yellowcard. From what I remember, he's always had a close connection with TSSF. Told me when TSSF was starting out as a local band, they didn't know how to write a chorus that wasn't in 3/4. lol
I mean TSSF and SYG are from pretty much the same hometown which is my hometown lol. Everyone in that scene knew each other like This Time Next Year so this isn’t surprising but I just didn’t know he joined. Good stuff though!
If Torf's switched from drums I'd imagine that's his choice. Per interviews it seemed like he took on more songwriting duties with Proper Dose. I know he wrote Upside Down.
Torf has like severe nerve damage in his back I was told. He's helping track the new record but its apparently very hard for him to drum now :((( sucks that now two guys in TSSF can't really move...
The way I understood it was Parker did so much damage to his body that to be able to still sing he has to do the Liam Gallagher thing as he'll run out of breath super quickly if he had the on stage energy he used to
