I honestly could not tell a person what it is that keeps me coming back to this band, but for some reason I almost always enjoy their stuff. Is this in 6/8?
Will the sweater with the album cover most likely be up for sale by itself once pre-orders are over or do most bands stop selling pre-order merch when pre-orders are done?
Track's way too over-produced. Sounds kinda like Neck Deep too. Might like it after a few more listens.
This does sound like what Neck Deep was trying to do but only much much much better. New Neck Deep is cringey as hell IMO lol
yeah this song is actually really cool, and a great progression from what they were doing on s/t, like it seriously makes it sound like s/t was more of a transitional record thanexpected. I just kinda don't that it sounds like the production makes everything sound out of focus, but maybe that's the point lol
I like this, it’s cool that it takes what they did on S/T a step further. I think it’s great they’re going in this direction, it suits them better than the hardcore-tinged pop punk stuff. Almost like I didn’t know I wanted this until I heard it. I could use a little more clarity in the vocals, but I actually mostly like the production overall.
Neck Deep's second album is better than anything TSSF have done for me. And I love both bands. Also this is cool, interesting move forward for them. I dig it.
I love about half of that second record from and Neck Deep so What You Don’t See reigns supreme for me personally. However, the songs I do love from Life’s Not Out To Get You are top shelf pop punk IMO.
lol I was just about to say that this feels like it could be a cut from Turnover between PV and Magnolia
Genuinely curious - was that whole TSSF vocalist drop kicking a woman off stage thing a few years ago not a big deal? I remember it being all over social media for a few weeks a few years ago.
It’s one of those things that has essentially been shelved because there’s not a lot people can do. The majority of their fans don’t care, and the girl that it happened to basically said she didn’t really care either. The people that do care are generally not the type of people that supported the band to begin with, and as a result of it all I don’t believe a statement was ever issued to even try to save face. As far as I know, the band doesn’t even acknowledge it. The incident has definitely been noted along with the rest of Parker’s problematic behavior (dude seems like a huge asshole), and is almost without fail brought up at any mention of the band on this site in particular, so there’s that.
I'm glad they're actually trying something on this song. Seeing pop punk dude bros pissed in their Instagram comments because of the slight change in sound is highly entertaining
I’m in between, I think it differentiates itself but maybe not by a ton. Based on the new song, I’m hoping we can expect more of a departure from Proper Dose.
They may be one record too late with changing their sound like this. I'm interested to see what this record does for the band. I don't remember the self-titled record sounding like this at all..
