Personally I think it's a good song, and it's definitely a little different. I still sounds like them but it feels a lot less aggressive and the vocals seem far less prominent in this. They're very consistent.
"Appropriate opiate" is such a silly lyric and I really wish this band would do anything different but I admit that it's catchy.
2018? They finished recording their album in May. Why are labels waiting so long to release albums? It's getting ridiculous.
its usually not a good move to release stuff too late in the year when people are reflecting more on the year as a whole than listening to new stuff.
I've definitely grown out of this sound but there's nothing wrong with this as a single. Very catchy.
They haven't got a date for the album, I just suspect it won't be out before the end of the year really.

The record wasn't finished in May. They apparently scrapped a bunch of material and were still wrapping it up until a few weeks ago.
Was the label not pleased with what they heard or did the band members just not like what was recorded in May?
I thought "Out Of It" might have been referring to how a young fan would feel after getting dropkicked off a stage.
