We have a whole fucking accountability thread. Why can't the people that actually like this band and have made peace with it discuss their music without the constant virtue signaling. You're not a better or worse person cause you do/don't support them.
If you want to go to bat for or give money to the guy who pays a known rapist to play in his band, you should at least be able to accept why people would have an issue with that or simply block or move on. Calling people out for making that known is, again, strange and suspect behavior. Do you not want people to know?
Because the cretins that will adamantly support this band, not in spite of, but seemingly because of, the controversy have an easier way of ignoring it.
It's still building a bridge that most in here are not interested in. People are just wanting to talk about music they like. They're not telling others to buy the album nor are they the social media manager of the band. They're just discussing the new music when they hear it.
Seriously, do you feel better? Does this improve your night to be telling me how much I suck for listening to a pop punk band? Do you feel morally superior enough or do you want to keep going?
Then ignore me? If you feel that you listening to the music and talking about the band is not breaking whatever moral code I am speaking about, then ignore what I say. I am not in here quoting people or harassing anyone. Feel free to ignore. But I do think that thinking critically about how your support of this bad directly supports Harry Corrigan is a thing worth thinking about.
I'm gonna write a fucking essay about how you guys suck for listening to this band but just ignore me guys it's ok
You are taking this much more seriously than I am. I am eating some Goldfish and watching Hit Man with my family. It’s not very good, so I am more focused on this interaction. If I am getting this much emotion out of you, it must be doing something.
Love the condescending tone after taking a shit on the thread. I'm not even a TSSF fan lmao. You can't force people to listen to you.
You stated in previous post that your aim is to "disrupt" - that's the issue. People don't want to feel like they need to be "disrupted" by you simply because they're talking about songs they enjoy.
I do choose to listen to this band by the way - I haven’t seen them in concert in probably 8 years and haven’t actually purchased anything from them in 6, and don’t plan to aside from streaming the songs It is possible to make peace with your own choices, and understand that people can feel a way that is opposed to your choices.
You are, and have been for at least 5 years on record, defending abusers from bands that do not know you exist, my friend. I feel good when someone acknowledges that they should not support an abuser. What makes you feel good?
This is a perfectly well adjusted opinion that I agree with. In my opinion there's a huge difference between this and telling people they are shitty for listening, it reeks of a need to feel morally superior.
And I don’t feel like anyone should feel comfortable sweeping Parker’s direct connection to Harry Corrigan under the rug. We are at an impasse, I guess
You are a grown man who has apparently been keeping track of my post history for half a decade. That makes me feel pretty good about myself, thanks.
