the live album has had be doing some heavy discog listening. s/t will always be at the bottom for me but everything else is consistently great.
I watched this band play banger after banger a few nights ago and just sounded fantastic. I’m amazed at how good this band is, definitely should be headlining arenas. main issue I see is Parker has very little crowd interaction. Rest of the band kind of the same. Energy was great but just a lot of standing around. I’m afraid this may be holding them back to elevating to that next level!
Maybe being overly cautious that he doesn’t try to sexually assault someone like his scumbag bandmate
Parker started a side project with the drummer from No Pressure who was accused of sexual assault (and admitted to it and threatened the victim and her friends and faced no repercussions). Total piece of shit, and he’s a piece of shit for giving the dude a bigger audience
No. But there’s no need for him to have hired H.C. as the drummer for his punk band. Don’t think he’s was ever revered for his musical talent before the assault and it’s not like they’re making music that requires a technically skilled drummer. Parker is saying something in hiring H.C. as the drummer. Also I don’t want to see a pop-punker singer cosplaying as Liam Gallagher. I get wanting to sound good on every song (even if your earlier songs are meant to be punchy). But like at least move the mic stand around the stage a little bit.
the only theories posted on Reddit are that he doesn’t like big shows because if you see him with no pressure or at like outbreak fest, he’s moving a lot. But if there is a barrier he is kinda like what’s the point
Don’t think so. IIRC the original bassist made a few comments about introducing Oasis to Parker. Result was him becoming obsessed with their act. I personally think the backlash he received for kicking that girl back into the crowd also plays a part in it. But tons of people forget that the band was never one to have a stage presence like NFG or FOB.
I mean, when their LP came out in '22 it was in the top 50 most listened to albums on this site for like 9 months straight. Clearly folks on here like them.
