I am truly a fan who knows a handful of songs but never did a deep dive into their catalog, and also LOVED the latest record.

And this live album absolutely hits like a sledgehammer. Truly, the production cannot be overstated. It is one of the best sounding live records I’ve ever heard.

Guess I’ve been out of the loop on their live sound cuz it was off putting to hear him singing on songs from the first two albums. Definitely miss the punchiness he used to bring vocally.

It would’ve taken me much longer to find out this live album was a thing if it hadn’t been for this website

Yeah, this live album is so good. Up there with The Mark Tom & Travis Show and NFG’s Kill It Live

Live in Phoenix should not be in anyone’s top 10. That thing made me think Fall Out Boy was a terrible band live.

Wonder why Pure Noise had nothing to do with this. Album + merch drop were released via brand new Oak Grove Records

I remember buying that dvd when it came out and being truly bummed. Even the crowd shots with all the kids was bad.

DSP? I just revisited it last night and it’s so good still. The electric factory is the best place for live concert DVDs with the crane shots. I like the Saosin and yellowcard ones filmed there as well

It hasn’t been on streaming since the Studio 4 stuff was released to the general public.

I think this might be the best live record (production/mixing wise) that I’ve heard in the last 15 years? Jon Markson did a stellar job here!

live @ granada by the get up kids was my first introduction to them and i think i went over a year without hearing any actual studio recordings. i learned every word from playing it on repeat so it'll always be my favourite. i'd say second is taking back sunday live from orensanz.

I recall that in their early years 2003-5 at least that they were bad? Entertaining only. But Patrick was also pretty bad. Total 180 to when I saw them in 2023

I can confirm this being from the Chicagoland area and saw them a bunch when they were a local band pre FBR. They were sloppy and fun. Entertaining is a great word haha

This new life album is indeed incredible. Just listened to it on a road trip and likely solidified me seeing them live again next month.

Listened to the live album multiple times this past week. The sound is so crisp that sometimes it nearly sounds like it was live in a studio.

Finally did this. Here's where I'm at, USAD is a distant 5 but the others are all pretty close. This band has been so consistent over the years. Almost swapped Self Titled and What You Don't See but the songs on WYDS that are really good are REALLY good. Empty Space -> Bad Luck is a phenomenal run.

    1. I Want to Disappear
    2. Proper Dose
    3. What You Don't See
    4. Self Titled
    5. Under Soil and Dirt

My ranking would be the same with one minor change. I’d swap self titled with USAD. The first 3 I’d keep in the same order.

Dang I wish I Want to Disappear connected harder with me. I'm still astounded with how hard Proper Dose implanted into my cerebral cortex. It's right around this time each year that I need to listen to it again.
