Gonna see if I can’t revive this thread since I want some place to talk about my fountain pens.

Currently my every day pen is the LAMY Al-Star in pine with a fine nib.

I use Rhodia notepads at work and then I have a LIFE notebook for journaling at home along with a Traveler’s Notebook for carrying around.

Any other fountain pen users or collectors out there?

Can anyone recommend a good lined notebook? I am starting a new job soon.

As for pens, ive been eying up the Studio Neat Mark One rollerball pen for best part of a year. Apparently has an insanely addictive click to it. Finally pulled the trigger. Cant help but feel it will never live up the price, but F it.

    That pen looks amazing

No compliment is as good as when someone uses my pen and compliments how well it writes. It's like someone injects sunshine into my veins

Before I left for a vacation I just returned from, I told myself I would attempt to journal for the first time. I’ve been fortunate to do a lot of traveling, and years later I always regret having nothing but my memories, and I always wish I had taken proper notes or even just kept a list of all the restaurants I ate at and what I had.

I ended up buying a Galen notebook cover and a pack of their everyday books. I brought my most trusty fountain pen, a tape runner, and my Instax printer, and actually managed to journal every night of the trip.

Every day, I compiled little keepsakes to stick to the day’s entry: coasters, receipts, business cards, even the cap to a finished bottle of tartar sauce which the tape runner somehow actually worked on. After the second night, I was shocked to find that I was actually looking forward to getting back to the hotel to journal. I’m flipping through it now (and also writing a little recap of the vacation and choosing some photos to make 4x6 prints of to throw in), and I am already so happy I did this.

Also, got myself not one but two new fountain pens from a very nice little stationary store while I was abroad! Sailor Pro Gear Slim Mini (first gold nib!) and the Kaweco Sport Lunar Shadow Green. Also picked up some kiwi peel washi tape.

    The new pens:

Writing with the Sailor now and I love it.

also, this is obviously just a brag, but I was particularly excited that this fell into my lap during the play:

Now I need to figure out how to journal now that I am back to my very boring normal life.

Love it. I have a Kaweco Sport, and it’s one of my favorite pens to travel with because it’s just so compact.

My fountain pen collection is now:

    Pilot Kakuno
    Pilot Vanishing Point
    TWSBI Eco
    TWISBI Vac 700
    Kaweco Sport
    Opus 88 Koloro
    LAMY Al-Star

My most used pens are the Vanishing Point, the Kaweco, and the TWSBIs.

I almost bought a Vanishing Point but went with the above Pro Gear Slim Mini instead. I am a sucker for small pens: my most used pen is my Traveler’s Brass, and I’m obsessed with the Kaweco Al Sports.

I really want that traveler’s brass! But it’s been sold out for a minute.

My Traveler’s Notebook has been my main journal for a bit. Love it.

I am trying to resist getting into the “aesthetic” pen brands like Esterbrook or Benu. But they are just so darn pretty haha.

This won’t help you, but…my Esterbrook Estie with the journaler nib is one of my favorites. I think I probably posted a photo of it somewhere in this thread. I know people say they’re overpriced, and yeah, probably - but it’s a total joy to write with and also just looks really nice.

I bought way too many accessories and inserts for my Traveler’s Notebook today, lol.

Ugh, that’s not what I needed to hear lol.

Knowing myself, it’s only a matter of time before I end up with a crap ton of those Esties.
