Soooo they're both not 20... it's still time, Good News for People Who Love Bad News has just had its 20th anniversary and that feels more time-appropriate for my memory
I've traveled to Pomona, San Bernadino, LA, and Anaheim to see them. Before the rumors of this date got talked about I was trying to figure out if I could do WWWY to see them.
This thread made me realize that I only ever saw them twice despite listening to them since 03. Once was a show at my local venue (which I still can’t believe) pre-BOATS and another was at Warped Tour right after Direction (I even missed the first couple of songs because they played super early in the day). I need to make it to a show one of these years even if I have to travel.
I've seen them 2 or 3 times. Last time was for the Say It Like You Mean It anniversary show but they don't come back to the UK often.
I’m still chillin on these 8. Would love to make it 9 with the left coast show this summer but I don’t really see it in the cards. Stoked they’re making it out this way though. Really cool that they continue to make stuff like this happen Edit: this was a lie, totally forgot I watched them at the first WWWY. Make it 9 baby!
Did you start using it ages ago? I feel like i’d forget everything trying to go back in time and add stuff now.
Yeah, probably not. A quick cursory glance shows NFG taking them over there in 2005, but I’m not seeing anything else. And to be honest, when I saw Home Grown again in 2005 (this time with Fenix TX), it was pretty bad lol. Adam was no longer with them and it was a bit bleak. Maybe better off you missed!
I feel like it was a couple years ago I went through and tracked it all. I was able to track all but a dozen or so shows and those were all super small or local shows. But I got the (at the time) 115 or so other shows logged. Use it all the time now.
I saw Home Grown in a random high school on Long Island with, then, River Fenix. Had to be 98/99, I picked up Act Your Age at the merch table.
I never turned off the email notifications on ConcertArchives, so multiple days a week I’ll get an email about how it’s been X years since I went to X show. It started out kinda fun, but now that it’s been over a year and I’ve seen them all it just makes me feel so fucking old lol. Coincidentally, today is 21 years since my first show ever, which was actually that Sum On Your Face tour from my post above
2005 Warped Tour 2005 Nintendo Fusion Tour 2012 SILYMI 10 Year 2016 Taste of Chaos 2019 20 year tour 2022 Post-WWWY
Off the top of my head here’s every time I’ve seen them: 2004 - Opening for Yellowcard, Roseland Ballroom 2005 - Bamboozle, Asbury Park 2005 - Warped Tour, Randall’s Island 2007 - Directions Tour, Toad’s Place 2008 - Bamboozle, Meadowlands (“last show”) 2012 - SILYMI Tour, Irving Plaza I refuse to believe it’s been 12 years since I last saw them.
I think I saw Home Grown twice. Once as a headliner at The Downtown on LI and on the Drive Thru Invasion tour.
2007 - Warped Tour, Indianapolis 2012 - SILYMI Tour, Saint Andrew’s Hall 2019 - Music + Stories, Agora Theater 2023 - The Bluestone, Ohio Is For Lovers Fest, Underground Arts
I've seen Dashboard, TEN, Fenix TX, Finch, Hellogoodbye, I Can Make a Mess, Midtown, The Movielife, NFG, Rx Bandits, Senses Fail, Something Corporate, TSL, and Steel Train But have yet to see (and would want to see) Allister and Homegrown
I've probably seen every drive thru band that had name recognition. Warped had a Drive Thru stage so that was kind of a cheat code but I think I saw most of them separately. Humble brag, have no idea how many times I've seen TSL, just a lot. AND I'LL DO IT AGAIN!
