Why Valencia of all bands? They’re fine, but I never understood the hype.

 

Completely forgot about the Such Gold feature. Listen Up is a banger.

Besides Listen Up, these are my favorite Kenny features. "You are the smoke in my lungs. You are the taste in my tongue."

Ima assume both bands have similar fanbases, they are from the same area, etc.

 

I mean, yes. Haha but beyond being from the same area, you could bring in any other band with a similar fan base. And this is just a 100% me thing because they just never hit me in any real way beyond, “this is fine.” I saw them a few times live and they were good, so I wouldn’t hate it. But if we’re manifesting a tour, I want an opener I love. And obviously this fake hypothetical tour should cater to me haha

 

A successful headliner either needs another "legacy" band or a newer band with momentum.

 

I don't know how to tell you this, but I was manifesting the tour for me, not for you. Sorry. You can manifest your own if you want.

 

Valencia hasn’t toured in a decade. I’d love for the bands to tour together

The vocalist has been touring and doing Valencia songs acoustic. He was great opening for Spitalfield recently. I wondered if he’d get the band back together

 

I think Valencia made a near-perfect trio of pop-punk albums that have only gotten better with time, anyone who slept on them at the time should revisit We All Need A Reason To Believe.

 

Three good albums, the middle being the best, but definitely one of the safer bands to do it. Still good stuff, but never really tread any new ground

 

Saying this in this thread is good. But you're saying it about the wrong band. LOL

I saw thread on Reddit (I know I know) that Kenny mentioned they’ll be doing a headlining tour next year.

 

It’s one of my favorites of the scenes from that era

 

Saw them in Jersey yesterday. They were definitely really solid. It was weird, the lighting had it so you could never see Kenny. New Found Glory kicked ass. Seemed most people knew most of their songs while they only knew AAR's hits.

I need to see them headlining though! (And new music!)

 

Yeah, it will be one of the only concerts where I’m there for the openers and don’t care much for the headliner

 

Same here in Indy. Should be fun though!

 

TSL and Valencia go together like peanut butter and jelly
