I like most of cartels later stuff better. I fel like they kept releasing good shit and literally no one was listening. For shame.

 

Completely agree. I haven't listened to it in full in years.

 

Cartels most recent album Collider always reminded me Direction-era TSL

 

Collider is their best album by a wide margin.

 

Never would have thought of this, but now I totally see that.

 

Collider was underrated for sure.

Also I really enjoy S/T. Wasted is a great song.

 

For me I think it's the best sounding album from that era. Just amazing production.

 

I think overall they are pretty consistent. Wish they'd put out another :/

I see that, they translated those songs perfectly on the acoustic album as well. I'm not sure similar pop punk bands would be able to do the same.

 

I normally can't vibe with any Pop Goes Punk stuff but I'm Real goes hard and I vibe

 

Punk Goes Pop, Acoustic, 80s, 90s, and most of Acoustic 2 are all pretty solid.... then it falls apart

 

I just don't like when it comes across as a novelty. "This song is a pretty pop song... and we're playing it like a punk song! Get it?!" I know that's the concept of the albums, but it's when the reimagined version makes me forget how the original version goes that I'm in

It's my absolute favorite cover! My friends and I have been rocking out to that at pre games for years now.

 

Just popping in to say Artistic License is still just as good as it was a month ago

 

Just added "Classic Jazz" to my running iPod. Still a jam and sad it never popped up on an album even as a bonus track.

 

This band had a lot of great b sides

 

The Raincloud and I, Time To Run, and Pictures are all great ones. Always have liked the full band version of Lasting Impressions as well!

 

I have an amazing sounding version of Luck too. I think it was the first time they played it live

 

God, "Time to Run" is great. I think it got taken off of YouTube like 5 years ago and I haven't heard it since, though.
