Man I know live shows are the way to go and I’m so stoked for crowds to get together to see these guys again but selfishly I would love if the live stream became an annual thing, this has been such a great month
@DickyCullz Here’s the set! Up and Go Almost There, Going Nowhere A Goodnight’s Sleep Luck Left Coast Envy Hello Houston Decisions Decisions Cheek to Cheek Quitter Anyways Make Yourself at Home The Nightlife The Drama Summer Given the Chance Greg’s Last Day Secret Society (Title Fight cover, excerpt) Leaving The Best of Me Noncore: Classic Jazz Surprise Surprise Island
In retrospect, Saddest Girl Sorry omitted makes sense. Real surprised by the lack of This Ride, but the surprise inclusions more than made up for it
I absolutely lost my mind when Classic Jazz came on. I genuinely always loved that song, and not just because it was a rarity. Haha. That’s the most giddy I’ve been in a really long time.
Tuned in late, just got to Hello Houston. Damn they sound great! Killed it with Luck. BOATS is such a great album, but something about that livestream seemed off compared to Direction and this one. Something with the mix? I dunno, this one sounds so much fuller.
Holy. Shit. they actually did it. Fucking Classic Jazz on a real recording. I’m ordering the hoody and the new vinyl 3 pack because of that. It really made this whole thing super special for me.
Random thought, but it felt somewhat fitting that the spot they chose to replay “Surprise, Surprise” was right after “Classic Jazz”. Those songs were together on the interactive DVD section of the Make Yourself at Home EP.
Anyone have any trouble Chromecasting these streams? I'll finally have time tomorrow to binge all three lol
Wow, this was so great. I can't believe they did Classic Jazz! That might be a top 5 TSL song for me. And all the EP songs sounded amazing. I was gonna order the Direction Vinyl, but now I'm thinking I'll go with this one instead just so I can have Classic Jazz on wax.
Classic Jazz is for sure a top 5 song for me. I’ve hated ranking songs because some might think I’m being pretentious having a demo in there. It’s a) a great pop punk song b) a great summer anthem c) perfectly encapsulates the ages between getting a license and legally buying alcohol
So that dilemma I mentioned earlier about not knowing which vinyl to order? Welp, decided to just buy 3 vinyl bundle. I've been making poor financial choices lately. But fuck it. TSL for life.
In The BOATS stream, Brian mentioned a short-lived side project he had with Kenny called Statue. Here's the only show they ever played.
Really cool that Kenny played Drama Summer in standard. That’s one of the coolest acoustic songs out there
