Just ordered the live BOATS and Direction vinyl - I really hope I love the performances haha

 

As for BOATS vs Direction - they’re equals in my book for different reasons. I think BOATS is more ambitious but the songs on Direction hit differently.

Songs like Are You Alone, Way With Words, and Somebody’s Gonna Miss Us always hits me in the gut. Love those songs so much.

Anyways, I would love it if they played b-sides in these streams. Fingers crossed for Time To Run, Classic Jazz, and Nights & Weekends

Yeah, I’m a little suspicious of what the quality will be like. But I trust Ken wouldn’t agree to release something that might sound kinda wonky, I’m sure there will be plenty of additional mixing and mastering for the vinyl.

 

It’s done right at Studio 4, I’m sure it’s going to sound good

 

Yeah, I figured the boys wouldn’t have put it out on vinyl without the proper sound team behind it to make it sound solid.

Plus, I’ve watched a bunch of livestreams this year and they all sounded great anyways... except for Story Of The Year’s In The Wake of Determination.

Man, that was bad.

 

I was able to just buy it.

 

Yeah but is part of my concern for an entirely separate reason tho. I assume Will is behind the boards and he is inconsistent & responsible for the only TSL songs that I wish sounded different

 

I wonder if they’ll have a live string section play on Photography? Nights and Weekends would be amazing. Stoked for Direction tomorrow!

 

This was such an easy purchase for me. I don’t need to be spending another $75 but that’s better than $75 per record after the fact.

I had no idea what Studio 4 was, I assumed they’d be on a stage with lights and that it’d be shot like a regular concert without an audience (that was how the only livestream show I’ve watched was). This is so much better! Totally worth the money, I’m stoked to watch it over again and play along throughout the month

 

Lmao at Kenny also just refusing to use a tuner while everyone else tunes in silence
