They closed their set with OK, it's top tier Kenny, song is an absolute beast. I spoke to Brian after the show and I would say not to hold your breath for any new material, I'm hoping this show sparked interest in the band again though. All Brian said was that before they split they had 3 songs recorded and ready to go and he said they will see the light of day soon
The Rain Cloud and I and Classic Jazz are two of their best songs. I loved everything about that BOATS era.
I gotchu. A long elusive truck just drove by and a stash of Geffen demos fell out. Feel free to PM if there is anything else you're missing.
Classic Jazz is a fucking JAM. It’s a damn shame we don’t have a great studio recording of that song.
I have a full version of this song, poor quality but full. I can share it. I just don't know if the forum rules allow it :)
Maybe I can “remaster” or touch up some of their demos and live recordings to make them sound “better”???
Considering going to the Denver show because I don’t think they will ever come close to the PNW, and my buddy has family there. We also both always blast BOATS/Direction when we hang out on sunny days. So it’s pretty much serendipitous.
I’m pumped to see them again. Love that their promoting it as songs and stories as well. Should be a fun time
My favorite from them. Will never forget when that came out. In college I had a summer maintenance job at a steel transportation factory and I would listen to that album alllll the time at work. It’s great.
This is one of my favorite TSL songs that I wish made the the record. Still shocked that it didn’t get the attention it deserved.
