BOATS was one of those magical albums that felt almost transcendent the first time I played it. Lots of aimless driving adventures with that album on repeat. (We all have a few of those.)

Direction remains my immediate go-to album when the sun is out. Never fails to perk me up and make me happy. “Island” really, really should have been massive. To this day, it still fucking bothers me it wasn’t!

 

I bet there’s a bunch of excellent usernames too. Toxic Teary Eyes- perfection!

 

Old AP heads will recognize at least one of those usernames lol

Also, The Make Yourself at Home EP is a very underrated set of songs. I never think about it when I dig through their discography, but when I remember it I rediscover how good each song is.

 

BOATS is my favourite, yeah. Took me a while to realize how strong the back half is but holy moly

 

BOATS is probably my favorite of their albums but Bedroom Talk is my least favorite TSL song.

 

He and Slade are happily living out their forum retirement together

I think I paid like $50 on ebay for the Make Yourself At Home ep on vinyl which is sooo ridiculous but I can't even begin to explain how much I love those songs so whatever.

 

That’s actually not that bad of a price. I would pay that.
