It's not that bad, but poor in the context of their discography. It's not a million miles away from The Middle, a little cheesier.

 

Is that how Kenny sounds now? His voice sounds shot and worn out. I haven’t seen them live in 7 years but I don’t remember him sounding like that before.

Anywho Great to see them back together in a music video! And stoked to see them live again this summer =)

 

He just sounds older and more mature to me.

 

I have not seen this, wild!

 

Song just gets better every listen. Also, I feel old as fuck remembering how many formative moments were soundtracked to them.

Cool, so The Starting Line last released new music in 2015 with the Anyways EP. Is there any chance for new music on the horizon?

There’s a high chance of new music. It’s not recorded yet. I am actively putting together stuff, but I’m famously slow at finishing stuff, especially for The Starting Line. Which it’s just one of those things where I just need to finally put my foot to the initiative to get it finished. That’s all it’ll take is just really calling the guys up and be like, “Hey, let’s try and make it happen in a month or two.” But I want to make sure that the songs are really worth doing. But I’d like to do something similar to another seven-inch type thing.

I think @Jason Tate plans to interview the band closer to the album release date. Please remind Kenny to not take another 7 years between new music from TSL...ha

 

That's absolutely the opposite of what he said in the quote.

Kenny's notoriously been reluctant at times to do new TSL stuff, or at one time even play shows again, and has said he doesn't want to put out something just to put it out, which is exactly what he says here. It takes a lot to get a bunch of 30-somethings in a part time or inactive band back doing the thing.

"I want to make sure that the songs are really worth doing." Always have to consider it might be the last rodeo here.

 

I was being a little sarcastic, but the fact that it's taken 10 years now for new music from The Starting Line wouldn't surprise me if this is last full-length record, sadly...

 

My bad, hell, core point I agree with. The more TSL songs the better.

 

Kenny sounds great on this.

 

Cool to see it’s not just a windows movie maker type background with 40pt bold font.

 

After over 50 listens, I can safely say this is a top 5 TSL song for me.

 

Friend surprised me with her extra ticket to their show in Boston this summer. Stoked! I forgot to buy them and it sold out pretty quick.
Desperately need to preorder this. Money is so damn tight. UGH
