oh shit! Late to the party on hearing this. Immediatly gave me title fight vibes in the riff with the poppy melodic vibes turned way up. I am really into this. Of all the bands making a comeback this doesn’t feel like pandering to nostalgia at all. What a killer take recognizable enough to what they did as a band, but such a fresh sound. Great to hear Kenny again. wow!
oh my god it’s produced by will yip! lol could hear that influence immediately on first listen. this record is going to be insane.
Such a cool little song btw. The guitar work is so fun, reminding me a bit of the midwest emo stuff that was having a revival when I was in high school. Love the particular dive bomb that reappears as well, such a nice touch.
It’s listed in the contents for the bundles. They’re selling the regular cassette as a standalone but the demos in the bundle.
Ahhh I see now. Damn. Of course I buy a bundle without the demos. Should've paid closer attention yesterday. Originally read your comment as it was included in all bundles.
I've probably listened to the song 10 times across different devices since it dropped, and while I have no beef with Kenny's actual performance (this is a lot closer to how he sounds live, and is wonderful), I do think the vocals could be a little more forward in the mix, especially on the verses. Felt the same way about most of Anyways so I reckon this is just a stylistic choice they prefer now, instead of the poppier vocal mix on earlier albums. So happy to see this dropping in only 3 months, what a time to be alive.
Couldn't ask for more from a new TSL song. Catchy and hard to have on repeat. I absolutely adore Anyways and Luck, so I hope there's more like that on the new album too.

Definitely looks like the whole album package could be a foil/chrome overlay, which would be SICK (and a nightmare to keep from scratching)
