I know this album came out in September but Im pretty convinced Eternal Youth is my top album for the year/since Septemeber. Something about this band's catalog, specifically (for me) BOATS, Direction, and ET......are just timeless. It's a great quality for a band to have.
I’m still listening on a weekly basis, does not hurt that it’s not a bad gym album. Pretty comfortable calling it my favorite TSL album at this point. Obviously there’s a greater history with the others, but this one’s really meeting up with where adult Trevor is at on multiple levels
This is one band where I wouldn't fault anyone for saying any of the four albums were their favorites. But I can echo the comments that say they still give Eternal Youth a weekly spin. I haven't totally given this album a break since it came out.
Easily my favorite album of theirs. I was only ever a casual fan who liked a few tracks from their first couple albums (I only heard Direction for the first time shortly before this one came out, which is very good) but this is one of my favorite albums from last year. In fact, I’m gonna throw it on right now!
I would rank this as #1 if the vocals were overall stronger. I understand the intention with it but it does feel like a missed opportunity in a way. Fantastic record regardless though!
Out of all the comeback records over the last year or so this is the one I replay the most. So sooo good.
