Yellowcard/Starting Line combo for Direction and Paper Walls (and MxPx's Secret Weapon) was an all time summer of albums for me. Them doing it again this fall has me so, so excited.
Digging the art direction on this, Rex did a great job meshing with what a lot of TSL’s imagery has looked like over the last 6 or so years with something that looks like it might’ve come out in the 2000s
I’m sitting on a beach in Florida, listening to new Yellowcard and The Starting Line like it’s 2007. This cannot be topped.
I love this timeline that we're in right now where music we loved in jr high/high school is coming back around. Everything was a soundtrack to what I was doing or feeling in those formative years. Having bands like The Starting Line, Yellowcard, The Ataris, Blink-182, Home Grown, Finch, Motion City Soundtrack, etc etc putting out new stuff, going on tour again, it feels like a warm hug that I didn't know I needed, and I'm so grateful for it. It's almost like my younger self is meeting my current self and we're both telling each other "things are good, dude, hang in there."
I love nothing more than seeing supporting IG comments from TEN, Anthony green, Copeland, Armor for sleep, etc
this rips so hard. sounds exactly what i'd imagine the band that made direction in 2007 would sound like in 2025. here for it.
