I will not be left out of the city discussions! Join me, fellow STL Chorus users, as we discuss our little town next to the Mississippi!... Or we could just talk about stuff, no big whoop. So let me get this started, go Blues. Tonight's game was fire.
Not from St. Louis but might be stopping there for a short period (like maybe 2 nights tops) in August. Does anybody have any places I should consider checking out?
I'm playing a show at the Kismet Creative Center in a few weeks. Is that a cool place? I know nothing about it. Not an STL native, but the City Museum is one of the most fun places I've ever been to.
I've been here about 5. Moved here from Wichita ks and I love it as well. So many great shows compared to my hometown
Visited a few weeks ago and it was pretty dope. It's on my list of western cities I might move to after college/student loans (maybe it isn't out west but just west of Ohio haha)
Yes! Same. I'm from Detroit originally, and they did get quite a few good shows, but I wasn't really allowed to go because I was younger when I lived there. Then I moved to Durham, NC, which really wasn't a great market for shows. St Louis has been perfect.
Go to Forrest Park, most of the attractions there are free including the Zoo and art museum. See the Arch too, it's just massive in person.
my sister lives in st. louis (she actually works at the zoo). i was there a year and a half ago. the area around busch stadium is nice, as is blueberry hill (i think it's called?). otherwise, can't say i was impressed. i'm going back out there in may - tell me what else i should be experiencing there!
You like pinball and drinking? Look up The Silver Ballroom, wall to wall pinball machines and a jukebox full of punk records. What does your sister do at the zoo?
Foxing came into my work today coming home from their tour. Didn't recognize them at first, forgot how normal those guys look.
Rad, what a cool job. Love the zoo so much, except the bug house because bugs freak me out really bad.
i think it's awesome that everything (except food, parking, and shows) is free. you could just go there all the time and chill with animals.
I usually park up at the art museum and just walk over to the zoo since it's right down the road and I typically go to the art museum first. The only place in Forrest Park I don't really go to is the history museum since it's on the other side of the place and most of the stuff in there really isn't that interesting.
Anybody going to the Underoath show on Sunday? I bought my ticket back in August and have been waiting for quite a time since then, can't wait for the show. Wonder what the crowd is going to be like.
Yeah, I gotta work late too. Total drag but it's cool, I'll just catch them the next time they play here.
yeah ive seen foxing three times and obrother like 6 haha but i would love to see some of the new obro songs live, that album is fucking great
Went to Seoul Taco on Sunday, what a great place. I can't remember the name of what it was but it was a bowl that was a combination of salad, rice, steak, and an egg on top. Just super tasty, I was really surprised.
Seoul Taco is Heaven. Honestly, my favorite tacos in Saint Louis. Almost three months since the last post? Let's get this started again.
