huh. TIL I've had this wrong for over a decade haha

who's the other person singing on Chasing Suns studio then? I am 99% sure that's not all Anthony

    No Fun. Not Ever.

    Pretty certain that's Rich Balling.

I always thought that was just Anthony pitch shifted.

pretty sure the original was all Anthony, the reissue has another vocalist sing the “I was chasing suns…” part, but not sure who that is. Doesn’t sound like Rich

The reissue has Rich I think, the OG had someone who sounds just like Craig Owens but it’s not him if memory serves me correct.

i used to know the answer to that question and it wasnt Rich or Craig on either of the recordings. im digging around on google. i want to say the reissue booklet said who did the verse on that version.

pretty positive the reissue one is Matthew Kelly. the demo one might also be, or the guy from Finch.

I remember The Hippos vocalist had some part in it too, but I would have to check which lines do you mean specifically. Also The Autumn vocalist is on the EP, but he's been mentioned above.

I would put money on it NOT being Rich.

ok so it seems I haven't listened to Chasing Sun in quite a long time and I think this is the first time I've paid enough attention to hear that the version on Spotify now from the re-issue has new vocals on that verse. I definitely remember it used to sound different. Also curious who's that, I've never listened to The Autumn, but now skimming through some of their tracks I'm pretty sure it could be Matthew Kelly over there. Albeit, could also bet some money it's not Rich nor pitch-shifted-Anthony on any of those versions

The newer version sounded weird to me now, whereas that demo version feels familiar, but getting back to them at the same makes me think the new one is an improvement

    No Fun. Not Ever.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I was always under the impression that there was three version of Tiger and the Duke. The original demo with just the four tracks, the full length with interludes added, and then the reissue.

DM me and I can send you the original versions

I think there are only two versions:

    - 8 track original release. 4 songs and 4 interludes
    - 20 track re-issue. 4 songs, 4 interludes, Overture, Postlude and 8 remixes

I never considered the original release a demo though, but rather the other way around, where the original is the standard release and the re-issue is a remastered/remixed version

I swear I've seen it around places claiming that there was an original four track demo released in 2004 but it's only snippets mentioning it and I've never been able to find anything concrete.

Actually now that you mention it, it WAS originally released as a 4-track release, but the songs were identical to the 8-track release, just missing the interludes.

I miss when things like this demo were things of lore in the scene, like how the OG fall of Troy ghostship demos were too
