I wouldn’t say that I’m familiar with TSOAF’s discography enough to rank them in my tier list. I think I’ve only listened to Tiger and Ocean each once and I’ve honestly never listened to Lover. Looking to change that soon enough though because I’ve been more interested in listening to TSOAF now more than ever before.

Strange thing is I love Anthony’s music and RX Bandits is great too so I don’t know how this band’s music has always escaped me for so many years.

everyones most familiar with Tiger but I recommend Ocean and the Sun the highest. I think its one of the best of the decade.

with Lover Id just listen to Skullflower, My Horse, Stockhausen, This Heat, The Heretic, and maybe Horses in the Sky.

I just finished listening to Tiger and the Duke a little bit ago (at least from Overture through Act IV since the back half of the reissue is just remixes over songs on Lover). Enjoyed that album quite a bit. I listened to The Ocean and the Sun a few weeks ago and enjoyed that too, but I’m going to revisit that one at some point today as I’m running through their discography while I have an active interest in doing so.

I’m a little more than halfway through Lover at the moment and think it’s just okay though. Wasn’t expecting this direction based on everything else I had listened to from the band so far. I don’t actively dislike anything on the album, but I also don’t find much of it to be memorable as I’m going through it.

I thought about it and it seems that logically they had those two Anthony tracks prepared to record, and as Rich mentioned they created two more while his schedule didn't allow to record. So that could possibly mean Wolf and Duche Das were made in the meantime without his input, at least without his vocals, which initially bummed me out a bit, but it's fine, those are cool songs! And I'm actually more glad to hear Keith Goodwin singing, seeing as we don't really get too many projects from him

Got the same vibe from that guitar part! But definitely not a given, I kinda even doubt it would be the case with no signs of them working together anywhere online - I think all of the people recording parts for the EP have been tagged around their account on instagram.

now that you mention, yeah i think i must have just misread or misremembered the quote then. initially i remembered it as they recorded 2 extra tracks while waiting for anthonys schedule and he did vocals for them too - but that obviously doesnt make sense now

I felt enthusiastic about the quote that mentioned Anthony recording some of his supposedly best melodies for the EP just the night before leaving for tour - it seems now that it was hard to find time for tracking even those 2 tracks ;D but to me they are both pretty fire, I definitely appreciate that whole material

I feel pretty okay with this right now. Went back and forth Translating the Name, but that EP is so important to me. That EP, along with Saosin’s self-titled album, changed my taste in music and introduced me to a whole scene of music that I didn’t even really know existed. Not to mention I wouldn’t be on this forum posting a tier list of Anthony Green releases if it weren’t for Saosin so I had to include it at the end of tier one as opposed to leading off tier two.

Some other Circa and Saosin releases that weren’t included but I would rank are as follows:

    • The Inuit Sessions - Tier Two, behind the OLG b-sides
    • Battle, My Love - Tier Two, between the OLG b-sides and The Inuit Sessions
    • Nobody Can Change - Tier Four, after Beautiful Things
    • Bad Heart - Tier Five, after Lover the Lord Has Left Us
    • Awake in a Dream - Tier Three, after Along the Shadow
    • The Amulet b-sides (including Metanoia) - Tier Two, between Descensus and Avalon

    • Mookies Last Christmas - Tier Two, between the OLG b-sides and Battle, My Love
    • I Can Tell There Was an Accident Here Earlier - Tier Two, between Mookies Last Christmas and Battle, My Love

I know I’m forgetting some AG solo songs, but they are deep cuts that I’m frankly not familiar with outside of a couple listens over the years. I need to change that.

i should maybe add Accident. Its arguably Saosins best track due almost entirely to how great Ants performance is on it. Really interesting melody.

Haven't given it that much of a thought, but I love collages ;d tier five is empty for me, though it could include releases like Jeer at Rome, and I think I could still fit Audience of One and High and Driving a level above it, getting back to those songs, they're pretty moving, some are actually great! Zolof and the Rock and Roll Destroyer could be there too! There's plenty releases missing, even if I wouldn't count single songs (besides Circa splits maybe, especially given the fact they had artwork for that and it was with SDRE and mwY). Anthony has had live records released as well, not to mention his previous solo album with string arrangements beside those (so Would You Still Be In Love/Would You Still Be Live/Would You Still Be With Strings - never liked the word play here hahah, but love all 3 versions!). Oooh and there's Fuckin Whatever and a couple other projects he did around last year, though those are EPs only as well.

EDIT: oh and I've put the b-sides EP so low cause it's just pretty short and low key, but those are 2 amazing tracks, love them, so that's weird to do so.

I liked it a lot, but also had this kind of a novelty vibe from it ;d would definitely put those EPs from TSOAF or Circa way above it

a couple of the riffs on the title track go really hard here, the main riff is stuck in my head. the second track might be the best realized one here. but for now Im…. not that big a fan of this overall.
