ATBB is a masterpiece of a song. It's the song I show to new folks to see if they could get into RXB.
Also after the aforementioned podcast with Rich I'm trying to look at it differently hahah, he mentioned it being the first time he had his vision for the layout come through. To me though it's a step down, seeing as I loved the originals (well, I do have a part of Tiger and The Duke cover art tattooed on me, and it's not from the first version either, but it's one of the more typical TSOAF designs, it's classic to me)
Well I love it for what it is BUT I really don't understand why they didn't just mirror the structure of the re-release of Tiger and the Duke by putting interludes and calling it an album. I'm betting they will re-release something to this effect after the tour next year. Apeshit and Sharon Tate are absolutely huge songs that dominate this. They need to be nestled in an album imo. Duche Das rules too but again, it's strange as a closer for such an ecclectic EP. I don't love Wolf, but Kelly and Keith sound great. There are songs I'd cut from Lover, but the LP length helps me accept the weaker songs and I think Wolf would benefit from that as well. I also feel this release will be totally overshadowed by L.S. Dunes. I feel like there's a risk of oversaturation of Anthony right now for the causal fans. I wouldn't be surprised if most people are struggling to keep up with his projects based on how crammed his instagram stories are with different bands/tours/releases.
sharon tate is an odd one for me. something tells me thats the song they mentioned they wrote last minute while waiting for anthonys schedule. the guitars in the chorus kinda veer into something i might expect to hear from another band. that part is head bang worthy tho fs. and lyrically im kinda left scratching my head at the title lyrics lol.
Yeah I agree and I think lyrically too I'm not totally onboard with Sharon Tate. I like Anthony's vocals here because they're doing the trademark TSOAF thing where he basically functions as the very effective crescendo hype man of the song ie I the Swan. I almost wish he came in later in the song for more of a buildup with Rich singing the chorus the first go around.
i spent 15 minutes on this template so shit on me accordingly Create a Anthony Green Releases Tier List
Amulet is my least favorite from them, I don't get it, I've listened so many times and not a single song has stuck. Appendage never did anything for me either
if you love the first 2 circa albums there is def more than a fair bit to love about amulet. they excelled at that kind of sound they created.
