Not laziness, just weird. That is almost as bad as CGI Livia.

 

When we were doing our first watch of it this past year there were like 5-6 just jarring transitions that caught us off guard. That was one of them. There were a few others that did weird out of place slomo before ending the scene

 

Worst things in The Sopranos:

2. That weird transition
3. Massive Genius/Adriana managing that rock band plot
4. Fran Felstein
5. Changing the actor for Barbara Soprano
6. The therapy scene with Melfi's husband and son. Melfi's family in general
7. That weird Mafia website Meadow uses to teach A.J.
8. Tony Blundetto suddenly appearing and being such a huge part of Tony's life. His daughter apparently was raised like the third child?
9. All of the really awkward fake TV roundtable discussions about the Mafia
10. Carmela's cousin Brian

 

There was a CGI Livia!?

I remember noticing it and thinking something is wrong with the file lol

 

Such a completely bizarre decision instead of just… not doing the scene

 

Lmao I have no idea how I never noticed that. It's so obvious

Why did they do that? She had clearly pre recorded her lines

 

The CGI Livia is genuinely off putting

 

they reused lines from before the actress died

 

Wow, they kind of did an impressive job with the lines anyways

 

The scene doesn't make any sense. Season Three was supposed to be Livia testifying against Tony and they treat it like that was still going to be the storyline. She should have just died offscreen but they wanted to do a tribute to Marchand.
