There is value in mystery. We already have a Chris and Bobby podcast, a Meadow and A.J. podcast, and a prequel film. The allure is being chiseled away.
Season one in the books. It doesn’t live up to the “best show ever” hype quite yet, but I wouldn’t expect that after a first season. Still good either way. Gandolfini is so good. He has such a boyish charm that really plays well to the way the show infantilizes the mob. These are men who play life and death with peoples lives and they are so petty and apply school yard logic to everything. Olivia is also a great character. Seemingly just like your own senile grandma on the surface, but she has much more influence over everyone than she lets on.
Something else that is really funny in the show is how Phil Leotardo talks about his younger brother like he is 22 years old even though he is pushing 50.
To be fair Zinn wastes no time haha, the first few pages alone basically go all in on I think either Columbus or the Conquistadors IIRC.
My high school has a home game against Delbarton this season. I also graduated from Seton Hall. I immediately thought of this scene.
This has been marathoning this week, and the intervention episode is on right now and holy shit I forgot about the transition from Adrianna talking about the dog to Silvio just going “your head was in the toilet. Your hair was in the water. Fucking disgusting.” Lmao
I want see the early proto-version of The Sopranos where it was a semi-autobiographical film about a TV producer and his dysfunctional mother starring Robert De Nero.
It needed more of the actors to be interviewed, I would have liked them discuss their character's arc and their experience on the show. We only got that from a handful of actors.
Only scratches the surface. If you are a megafan nothing's really new but its fun for it all to be laid out neatly in an easily watchable doc
The dude loved SpongeBob. I assume because of his son growing up but if there's a guy in a SpongeBob costume, James will come by and get his picture taken
The penultimate episode of season two was so nuts I kind of forgot the finale had to deal with Sal. Richie’s end seemed very fitting. He was always a loser and everyone finally realized it.
Rewatching the episode Pie-O-My and I realized the court room sketch of Junior is suppose to resemble David Chase
