I've seen most episodes, but it's been 15 years and I never saw the full series, or any of the last season and a half, so I started it back up earlier this week in hopes that I can finish it before The Many Saints of Newark drops. 3 episodes left in season 1 and already so much I don't remember.
I'm done with season 4. I'm in awe with this show. I had no idea I'd like it this much. The acting. Everyone in this show is a masterclass. I keep flipping on who I like the most. My most underrated is Adriana.
It is really incredible that the show was both the beginning of "serious" television while also not being topped in twenty-plus years. There were a few years when "The Wire versus The Sopranos" was a major debate, but it has mostly been settled now.
BCS has been better than I could have even hoped it would be, but still, i don't think it comes reasonably close.
iiiiiiiiiii dont even know if i'm ready to go there yet, but the gap is certainly closer in that conversation lol
I think the only BCS season that really comes close to Breaking Bad for me is the last one. Wouldn't really put it in the conversation for best show on right now let alone of all time.
something potentially being overrated does not necessarily equal being bad or lesser than something else. there's plenty of really great things that i think people talk about entirely too much or over hype. saying something is over or underrated is almost always just, an opinion.
I liked BB when I watched it, don't get me wrong, but SO MANY people rate it as one of the all-time best and I just don't feel that way at all. I could get into it but I'm sure it'll annoy the fans. Let me just say that The Sopranos reaches deep into my heart while BB only raises my heartrate.
Different strokes. Breaking Bad is still my number one because no other show has affected or grabbed me the way that did.
I'm only 12 episodes into The Sopranos and can confidently say it's significantly better than Breaking Bad.
