Definitely imo the most consistent series as a whole. The other two big ones in my top 3(Mad Men, The Wire) have an weird season or plot line that tarnishes them just a tad

 

I didn’t realize how far behind I was on the thread, but I own the cookbook and it’s great.

 

Man I hope the wait is worth it but I'm not expecting it to be.

Started this series last week. I’m 5 episodes deep and each one is better than the last. Stoked for this journey.

 

Christopher shooting off a kid’s toe is a very funny Goodfellas reference.

 

I’m watching the series for the first time. Would it be okay for me to listen after I watch the episode they discuss? I want to avoid later spoilers from the hosts.

 

For the most part yes. Any spoilers they discuss are usually pretty vague

 

there’s the episode where Christopher takes an Acting for Screenwriters class and when introducing himself to the class, he cites Goodfellas as an influence to get into movies... was he aware that the character Spider looks just like him?!?!

 

Ehhhh I wouldn’t. Just enjoy the ride. When you finish the series and want more it’ll be even better to go back to the podcast.

 

Yeah if I could go back and watch it all fresh for the first time again it would be amazing.

now I live it.
