Holy shit completely forgot about Beansy being in Entourage.

 

Like half the cast of the Deuce is from The Wire

 

He's good friends with Bobby DeNiro and he's had bit parts in a lot of his movies... Goodfellas, Silver Linings Playbook, What Just Happened, American Hustle, Little Fockers, Cop Land, Analyze That, Sleepers, Casino, Heat, The Fan... jeez just going by his IMDB page I didn't think it was that many

 

Has anyone watched anything else with Michael Imperioli? Besides Goodfellas? I feel like I saw a tv show or movie where he was like a college professor but I can't remember what

 

ohhhhhhh it was Girls

 

It seemed weird seeing him in that episode of The Office



He also had a pretty brutal death in the movie Dead Presidents

 

Those three are probably my top from it, definitely Macdonald and Shannon. I really loved Michael Stuhlbarg and Charlie Cox and Jack Huston as well. Honestly the more I think the more I remember smaller characters as well that made a big impression in a short time.

Also on a VERY different level of quality, I think almost every single actor that was in an episode or two of The Sopranos early on was also on Sex and the City. It’s hilarious to just count them off. It almost reminds me of how basically everyone was on Murder She Wrote and Matlock, where if I’m scrolling through someone’s IMDB to remember what I know them from and see one, I know before I get down to it that I will see the other listed. Lol.

 

I've listened to podcasts with Imperioli and it's fascinating how different he is from Christopher's character. Complete stark contrast. He's a total play/theater nerd and even owns a small theater in NYC I believe.

 

IIRC when developing Chris's character that have him yearn to get into the movie business/screenwriting because of Michael's personal desire to do so and he ended up writing five of the episodes

I'm on episode 9 of my 4th watch of the series. First season is still so unbelievably good.

 

I’m crying at that account. It reminds me of my dream of a Sopranos Malapropisms daily calendar.

 

Also this thread inspired me to try to talk my dad into giving it a try again, and this time I actually got him hooked. He just texted me this morning saying, “An albacore around his neck. Something fishy about that.”

 

It took my girlfriend until like S3 to really get hooked, maybe like halfway through S3.

Is there a better Paulie line than this one? I'm not so sure.

 

Without even leaving the episode, I will always prefer, “He killed 16 Czechoslovakians! The guy was an interior decorator!”

 

But basically everything Paulie says makes me cry laughing, so picking one is way too hard.

When he’s just in the restaurant casually COVERED in lotion and acting like it’s not a big deal is hilarious.
