    The Sopranos is an American crime drama television series created by David Chase. Revolving around the fictional character and family of New Jersey-based Italian American mobster Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), the show portrays the difficulties he faces as he tries to balance the conflicting requirements of his home life and his criminal organization. These are often highlighted during his therapy sessions with psychiatrist Jennifer Melfi (Lorraine Bracco). The series features Tony's family members, Mafia colleagues, and rivals in prominent roles and story arcs, most notably his wife Carmela (Edie Falco) and protégé Christopher Moltisanti (Michael Imperioli).

    while i respect everyone's right to individual taste when people like Breaking Bad but haven't seen this show i get hurt a little

    I'm a few episodes into season five right now. I've been watching it in parallel with my dad, so I'm trying not to get too far ahead of him, but I don't think he's done with season four yet.

    I find myself re-visiting the series every spring. I caught myself watching season 5 episodes and now halfway through 6B. I still think the latter half of the series is better than the first. Not sure if I'll watch from the beginning again.

    College and the S2 opener are exceptional, and the show is always a step above other television. I just hold the later episodes to a higher caliber.

    I'm Back.

    Thinking of doing a series run through for the first time since the finale, but man that's daunting. It's almost as bad as when I went though Lost without having seeing any episodes.
