Without even knowing who wrote this, you could just listen to the dialogue between Mickey and JAW and know it’s Sorkin. Jeremy Strong’s Zuckerberg sounds like him more than Eisenberg’s. But verisimilitude doesn’t mean a good movie. Sorkin is nowhere in Fincher’s league. Also, why is this movie lit so dimly?
Obviously it’s a sequel but that didn’t register in my brain until they brought back the score at the end. I think this will be fine.
Jeremy Strong really nailing how much of a fucking alien Zuck is It’s a shame we know nothing comes from this story and Facebook continues to rotfuck peoples brains
Doesn’t look good but like what I see from strong so far JAW’s one note is pretty good but he really only has one note huh
He was a little goofier on Shameless iirc. But yeah, he’s basically been the same character in everything since.
Yeah he was at first and then the last half of the show he was super serious and depressed the entire time.
Truly don’t know what to make of that. Strong is unbelievably on point but it almost comes off as parody. I wonder if you almost need the Jesse Eisenberg approach where the story can be better conveyed by toning down the Zuckiness.
Technically this is being marketed more as a "companion piece" or a "spiritual follow up" to Social Network rather than a straight up sequel.
Love the first film. This trailer isn’t good though. I’m see it obviously, but not expecting it to be anywhere near the quality of social network
It's very funny that he secured all these huge actors for what looks and feels very much like an HBO movie from 2002.
